Innerwell was founded in New York in 2021, following the 2020 telehealth rule change that allowed controlled substances to be prescribed via video call rather than requiring an in-person visit. Services are currently available in around 34 states across the US.

How Innerwell Works

What’s Included
Both programs include access to the Innerwell Portal – a web-based platform where patients can track mood and symptoms, message their care team, schedule appointments, and access guided meditations, journaling prompts, and curated playlists. The portal generates charts showing symptom progress over time and sends smart dosing reminders.
Each program includes at least one expert-led psychotherapy session. For patients who want more, preparation and integration sessions are available as add-ons at $100 for 30 minutes or $165 for 50 minutes.
Innerwell also offers EMDR therapy and psychedelic integration services beyond ketamine, making it one of the more comprehensive mental health platforms in this space.

Extended Program (24 doses): $2,100 total, roughly $88 per session. Includes 5 clinician sessions and 1 psychotherapy session. Pay upfront for $2,000 or in 4 monthly installments of $525.
For returning patients, there are continued care options: Weekly ($88/session), Bi-Weekly ($138/session), and Monthly ($200/session).
One significant advantage: Innerwell accepts insurance in select states, including CA, NY, WA, CO, TX, and IL among others. With coverage, the per-session cost can drop to around $54–$88. This makes it potentially the most affordable option in the space. HSA and FSA payments are also accepted, and superbills can be issued for out-of-network reimbursement.
There is a $100 cancellation fee if you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice.
For context, BetterU charges $88–$100 per session but doesn’t accept insurance. Mindbloom runs roughly $159–$209 per session, also without insurance. Traditional IV infusion clinics typically cost $400–$800 per session.
